Happy Thanksgiving season everybody. Hurrah, hooray, yippee, wahoo, it’s Thanksgiving time. It’s time to stuff your face with leftover Halloween candy, decorate your home with hand turkeys, and, most importantly, read Thanksgiving stories out loud, together, as a family.
Hey, I just happen to know a Thanksgiving story that would be perfect for the occasion. It’s called All We Need: The Thanksgiving That Almost Wasn’t. And guess what, I wrote it. Marci Bohn illustrated it. Together, I think we did a pretty good job.
Here’s a brief description:
Sue loves Thanksgiving. But this year, a power outage threatens to ruin the day. While her parents try to reassure her that everything will be okay, Sue is not so sure.
They can’t cook the turkey. And what about the pies? They can’t watch football on TV – they can’t even stream the Thanksgiving parade!
Sue is convinced: it’s not Thanksgiving without those traditions.
Or is it?
Could the holiday be more than all the familiar and favorite customs? Is there something else that makes Thanksgiving special?
Join Sue for a Thanksgiving to remember. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll find new favorites for your holiday, too!
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
The book is available wherever you like to get your books. And don’t forget to rate and review it.
